This week, I want to share the story of our wedding day.
Because, this upcoming Sunday marks Weez’s and my 1-year wedding anniversary :)
Hands down, it’s been The best year of my life. This year has been fun, perfect, easy, effortless, an adventure. Just the best. And I know it’ll just keep gettin’ better, baby. He’s my lobster (Friends, anyone?).
I want to share some of our professional photos in installments. Starting with the “pre-ceremony” ones. Our photographers, Lisa and Clay of Red Gallery Photography were incredible and their photographs were stunning. I can’t thank them enough for how they captured our day, and the timeless photos they’ve given us. It goes without saying, I highly recommend them.
The girls and I got ready at my parents home, then took photos in our backyard. I loved that we chose to get ready that way. My parents’ home is beautiful, our backyard luscious, and the whole morning was comfortable, relaxed, and such a blast.
After the formal portraits, the girls and I were whisked off in a sleek stretch limo stocked with champagne to our ceremony and reception venue (the intimate, elegant, photogenic Sandusky Yacht Club). I’ve never felt so lucky, special, and thankful in my life. The limo ride was glamorous. It was a 45min drive to the yacht club, and those moments in there with my best friends? Are memories I’ll never forget.
Meanwhile at Yacht Club, Weez, his family and groomsmen were getting ready themselves.
Since they were there nice and early, they had plenty of time to grab a beer, hang out on the breakers, and visit with incoming guests.
When the girls and I arrived at the yacht club, we snuck in the back entrance to hide in the library before the ceremony. We laughed, read excerpts from silly romance novels on the shelves, and touched up our makeup.
All the while, it was steadily raining outside. I assumed our wedding would be inside…
Tomorrow, I look forward to sharing our ceremony story with you!
