Happy New Years Eve

Hey guys! I’ve been having a lovely time in small town Michigan with my hubs and his family for the past few days, so I apologize for not blogging. I’ll be back to blogging after the new years when we get back to Boulder and my regular routine.
Cabo is spoiled rotten with all the love and attention she’s been getting here. And it’s been so nice for me to sleep in and laze around and catch up with my new family at their home. I’ve gone running a whopping two times, but I kinda dig the break. That, and the country roads out here don’t have shoulders to run on, so I’d rather play it safe.

We leave tomorrow morning to start our drive back to Colorado. So when the clock strikes midnight, we’ll probably just be driving through Iowa or Nebraska somewhere. We’re such party animals, I know.

I’ll post my annual “the year in pictures” recap for 2011 when we get back to Colorado. It’s not done yet… but taking the time to create the blog post has me smiling as I reflect on all the great things that happened… 2011 was a trip. So much to be thankful for!

Anyways, for those going out to celebrate the new year, have a drink for us! Or text me! I’ll be bored out of my mind on I-80 somewhere, so think of us!

Happy New Years! What are your plans?

  1. Go a little farther south and drive through Kansas. Nebraska sucks. You should time it so that you’re in the western part of the state at midnight and less than an hour’s drive before you cross into the Mountain time zone. Do that and you can go from 2012 to 2011!

That’s how I see the world.

You may be in a car at midnight but I’ll already be a few hours into REM sleep! So sad.

Glad you are taking the downtime. Always worthwhile after a big season. Looking forward to the pictures!
