Merry Christmas 2011!

Merry Christmas!
Why hello little blog. Long time, no see! Truth be told, I needed a little break. But I was chatting with my grandma on the phone just now and she asked “how’s your blog? When was the last time you blogged?” and that was enough to bring me back to e410. wordpress. com. Thanks Gram :)

I was in Colorado last time I blogged, but since then, Weez, Cabo, and I packed up our car and road tripped across the US. We’ve been in Ohio with my family celebrating the holidays. And tomorrow morning, Weez, Cabo, and I leave for Michigan to spend the next 5 days with his family. What a wonderful holiday season it’s been so far :)

We had our annual Christmas tree decorating…

We had our annual cookie decorating contest…
You’re lookin’ at a clan full of talent (yes, that awkward red PJ santa on the lower left is mine)(ugly sweater santa is my brother’s)…

There’s been lots of puppy cuddle time…

There’s been the annual teamwork crossword puzzle…
Hot tubs and wine and egg nog and morning mass and presents and games and dog walks and grace and hugs and the annual reading of Twas The Night Before Christmas.

There’s been lots of good food (trips to West Side market, my brother in charge of the dining menus, the fridge always stocked with wine and snacks).

Fun conversation (if they didn’t already know all our embarrassing childhood stories, Cena and Weez now know them all).

And precious moments shared that make me appreciate how lucky I am to be a part of this family. There’s no place like home.
We miss my Liv, Greg, and baby James, but they’re in Colorado with Greg’s wonderful family this year :) And they’ll be there long enough, that Weez and I will get to see them all in early January when we get back to CO.

I’ve loved my time at home with my folks, and now I’m looking forward to spending quality time with my new in-laws at their home :) My first Christmas with the Weezs’ as a Mrs. Weez! I never realized how much it’d mean to have great in-laws, but man, I scored big in that department. They totally rock. And I can’t wait to see them all.

Merry Christmas to all… and to all a good night!

How was your Christmas? Do you have any family holiday traditions? Are you splitting/sharing the holidays this year?
