Despite 6″ of fresh snow this morning, I made it to the bus stop and caught the bus right on time. I kissed Weez goodbye, wished him good luck on his 5k Colder Boulder this morning (kill it, B!), and patted Cabo on the head.
The bus got us to the airport right on time and here I am at my gate, and this is what it looks like:
Hello snow! This weekend in Boulder? 20 and snowy. This weekend in Sacramento?
Oh hello perfect conditions. Mmmm, delicious. Thank you running Gods!
I’m so excited for my little runcation (running-vacation) this weekend. I get to hang out with my best friend, Niki, all weekend. I get to catch up with my Operation Jack running buddy, Sam, for 26.2 miles. Some friends from college are coming to cheer me on, and I get to have lunch with them afterwards. I get to hang out in a new city. I gain another medal and race shirt. I get to run another marathon. So much to be thankful for.
This is going to be sweet.
I’m still nervous for the 26.2, but everything around this marathon is such a gift, and I’m so excited for it all.
