Last weekend was fantastic!
We spent the entire weekend camping in the mountains, hiking all day/playing Catch Phrase and cards by night. I’ve been sleeping sooooo well at night since we’ve been camping so much this summer. Not showering for 3 days and sleeping on dirt and rocks is starting to feel like second nature to me now :) Love it.
I heart my research group. We’re a fun bunch of nerds.
On Saturday and Sunday, we hiked Mt Elbert (14,433ft) and Mt Bierstadt (14,060ft) and I’ve got the crazy sore legs to prove it. I guess that’s what summiting 4 14ers in two weekends will do to ya :)
I love taking self-timer/place-the-camera-on-a-car/pre-hike photos. This was before Elbert…

This photo kind of cracks me up, because Weez was CLINGING for his life onto my back. He was afraid the wind would knock us over.
To date, Weez and I have 15 Summit Photos. We suspect that we’ll need 16-17 tables at our wedding, so that means we just need two more summits to complete the “table number” assignments for the centerpieces! So excited. I love the photos we have so far.
On the running front (oh yeah, this is still sorta a running blog), I’ve been running a bunch! I’m running 5 days a week, anywhere between 5-9 miles/day mid-week and going long on the weekends. This weekend, we’ve got 14 miles on tap which should be a lot of fun.
73 days till our wedding!
89 days till the Denver marathon!
(and a whole bunch of fun things in between!)
