This weekend was full of activity… just the way I prefer it!
Saturday, we had 11 miles on deck and cranked them out on a warm, shadeless country road. Every once in a while it’s nice to get away from trails, mountain bikers, and the endless possibility of tripping on rocks, and just enjoy the view, cows, and country breeze.
And we had the pleasure of running with a new running buddy… Ginny!
What a sweetheart. I was asked to dog sit for her on Saturday morning so I took her with us for a portion of the run. Running with her (and Daisy, my roomie’s dog) further convinces us how ready and excited we are to have a dog of our own soon. After the honeymoon, we are soooo adopting a dog. Oct 1, baby. Oct 1.
I had originally planned on going up to the mountains that day, but ended up staying in town so I asked my girl Sarah if we could hang by her pool (which shall soon to be my pool too… yay for future neighbors!). I can’t remember the last time I hung out by a pool, so that was perfectly enjoyable.
Sunday was spent hiking and more pool lounging and BBQing and spending quality time with friends. I like to jam-pack my weekends with as much outdoors time as possible. Colorado summers are not to be messed with, peeps. You blink, and just like that, your summer is over because you have so much fun going on the whole time. I mean, it’s already mid-June!
33 days till Weez and I move in together! 46 days till the bachelorette party with my girls in VEGAS! 95 days till our wedding!
I’m tryin’ not to blink… I’m lovin’ every minute of this summer :)
