Earlier today, we drove up to Greeley to pick up our race packets. We stuck around for one of the pre-race meetings, which was very educational. It also put to ease my nerves because there were lots of other first timers and older folks. Maybe I won’t be the last finisher? (ok, that’s unlikely)
We got to walk through the transition area to figure out where we can place our bikes and I stuck my toes in the res to feel the temp. That’s when it hit. BAM. I’m ACTUALLY doing a triathlon tomorrow? Oh snap.
Clearly, I’m much more concerned than my experienced triathlete of a brother. He just came back from the Escape from Alcatraz tri in San Francisco last weekend. This should be a cake walk for him :P
I put my bib numbers on my bike and jersey, my wetsuit is prep’ed and ready. We’re enjoying a pasta dinner and then I’ll be hitting the sack because we’ve got a 4AM wake up time. Eek!
Weez is armed and ready with my camera so he’ll be in charge of documenting the day :) That way, I’ll have some photos to share with you guys on Monday!
Have a great rest of your weekend! I’ll see you on the flip side!!
