Favorite quotes don’t just spring up out of no where. They’re there, in the back of your mind during a race, scribbled on an old post-it next to your desk, on a card you’ve kept from your mother for years, a quote said by a friend during a conversation that just stuck with you, in a book you read that was handed down to you from a mentor.
I reread these quotes, slowly, when I’m in a rut or scared or just need to rekindle what it is that makes me tick. Because these are my absolute favorite quotes and I can only hope that I live up to each of them every day, these quotes resonate.
