I’ve become a bit of an insomniac over the past few days. It’s hard for me to get to sleep. I’m feeling worn down and tired (hence the lack of blogging). I’m anxious to get my normal life back and anxious for a normal night’s sleep. Honestly? I miss having a beer with my friends. I miss running (so much). I miss my lab mates and being at work. Tomorrow marks two weeks since the surgery, so I’m going to go into lab for a bit and see how I feel. My tummy is definitely still tender and standing for too long wears me out, but we’ll see how the next few days go…
Aaaaaaaanyways. I have great friends and I’m so thankful for all the love and support. I recieved the most delish Edible Arrangement from the lovely Miss Sarah last week, and it totally made my day :) SO yummy. I wasn’t venturing to the grocery store quite yet when I received the E.A., so my body surely appreciated the tasty fresh fruit! (thanks, Sarah! you’re awesome!)
Then last night, Weez brought over a full pan of homemade m&m rice crispy treats from my lab mate, Mags! I love rice crispy treats and I love m&ms, so it was a double win! I was so excited, so I ate a huge chunk right away before dinner (reverse dinner, as my parents would call it). My roomie and her bf also enjoyed the treat last night too… so, thank you Mags!
All this wonderful food therapy has really been helpful because, though I’ve ventured to the grocery store once this week, I’m not able to carry heavy groceries yet. And who doesn’t love fresh fruit and desserts?! Mmmm.
Well I’m off to go for my daily 20 minute walk! Catch you later!
