Taper Week is Weird

I’m hungry all the time, yet I know I’m not burning as many calories. I’ve been drinking a ton more water than usual, which just means needing to pee way too often. Though I sleep really well at night, I have a hard time waking up in the morning. I miss the endorphins. I’ve only run 7 miles so far this week. The 35 minute run I went on this morning felt short lived. I’ve been back and forth about what I want to wear on game day. I keep checking Boston’s weather forecast every 47 minutes, and so far the weekend/Monday forecast looks like fantastic:

If Monday is truly 63 degrees and partly cloudy, I will cry with joy. That’s a runner’s DREAM weather right there, baby. Fingers crossed!

Last night, my girl friends and I got together for another pot luck (lovin’ this weekly pot luck thing). It was the dose of girl talk I really needed, ya know? Everyone brought such amazing items, I definitely ate waaaaay too much. And it was awesome.

LJ provided the bubbly, Les brought oven roasted veggies, I baked (with the help of Les and LJ!) a chickpea casserole with lemon, herbs, and shallots (which I highly recommend! It was delish and filling!).
Cara brought homemade lemon frozen yogurt and ‘Rah brought fresh cinnamon rolls. Yes, I absolutely had seconds of both. They were divine.

I feel so lucky! I’ll be enjoying amazing meals with good friends pretty much every night through Monday :)

And if being in Boston this weekend isn’t something exciting enough to look forward to… my dad and mom are coming out West to spend Easter with us in two weekends!

Love love love.

Is it Friday yet? :)

63 is 10 degrees too warm. I liked the 54 degrees forecast they had last Sunday. Oh well, hopefully it moves back in the right direction. :(

Boston weather will be great. I sent a slip to Mother Nature requesting it.

I’m with Sam! I like it a cool 50-55. I think one of my problems is that I get so hot when I run, I want to stop. Haha!

  4. Weekly pot lucks sound so fun! I always look forward to my bi-monthly book clubs and could definitely use one more often.

Boston weather has been good all week! I will keep my fingers crossed for Monday!
