How is it Friday already?!

This has been the busiest week ever. I’ve had meeting after meeting after meeting. The meetings were positive, necessary, and I learned a lot, but I feel like I haven’t gotten any real science done. Do you ever feel like you get nothing accomplished when you’re in meetings all day?

I’m not sure if/how swimmers swim when they’re sick, but I figured I shouldn’t try it. I feel bad, but I opted out of masters swim on Wednesday and then again this morning. Wah wah. It’s hard enough to not inhale water when I can breath properly out of both¬†nostrils, much less when I’m totally stuffed up and my throat is swollen. I’m anxious to get back in the pool though — I miss my swim posse!

The weather was super cold all week but it’s finally warming up today, to a balmy 32*F. I’m very happy about this because I’ve got a 12 mile long run on tap for tomorrow! Hopefully the lack of running/swimming over the past 3 days won’t affect the run.

Then Sunday is the Super Bowl which shall be awesome. Go Packers! I’ll be watching the game with a bunch of Steelers fans, so this’ll be interesting :P

Are you watching the game on Sunday? Who are you cheering for? What’s your FAV game day snack? (mine is definitely my mom’s famous olive cheese ball… mmmm)

    I hope you feel better soon! Yes, I will be watching the game Sunday and I hope the Packers win because I don’t like the Steelers. I like any game day snack! I’m thinking of making my friend’s chili though, which was soooo good!

    I think about 90 percent of Americans are cheering for the Packers! Pretty interesting.

    Good luck with the miles tomorrow…hopefully the stuffiness will stay away.

  4. Good for you braving the weather to go running. Every day it is getting harder and harder for me to run in the cold!

    As for my favorite game day snack, I think it is Chili and chips!! Mmmm, can’t wait!

    i actually really like meetings….but being a teacher…in a department of one….i rarely have meetings. oh well.

    i’m sure you’ll be fine even though you missed a few days. it just means that your legs will want to go faster than normal :)
