… yards swam in the month of January. That’s 18.25 miles!

Say whaaaaat?! That’s just crazy to me.

It feels like just yesterday I was teaching myself how to swim and I had to stop every 3 lengths to catch my breathe. My trusty Dolphin Ugly has gotten me through a lot. Like that one time I got yelled at by the lifeguard. And when 1600 yrds was the longest distance I’ve ever swam in my life, before taking this class.

What a trip. How cool it is to have come this far. Although, sometimes it still feels like I’m about to drown. Okay, it always feels like I’m about to drown. But at least I know how to breath without inhaling water! Okay, that’s not entirely true either.

Swimming still isn’t easy, but it’s a ton of fun and there’s not a day I regret registering for this masters class. It’s given my knee the gift of cross training and recovery. Thanks, Masters Swim, you rock.

I wonder how many yards we’ll swim in February? :)

Great job! I don’t know how to swim and I really should learn. I don’t like having to put my head under watch and I have an incessant fear of drowning…any advice?

That’s awesome! I love swimming but we don’t have a pool nearby that I can go to (not that I’m aware of anyway). Looks like you’ve come a long way!

Okay, that’s nuts. 18 miles. I’m officially impressed. I might have riden my bike 18 miles. Maybe.
