Back in the swing of things (kinda)

A lot of you are probably back to work after the holidays… how’s the new week of work treating you? What’d you do on Monday and Tuesday? I hope it was productive!

Me? I drove across America to get back to CO. 22 hours of driving. Things I observed: Ohio’s turnpike tolls were the most expensive. Indiana is a pleasantly short state (felt like we flew right through it). Illinois drivers speed like it’s nobody’s business (I felt like a grandma going 4 over the speed limit when folks flew by me). Iowa was colder than Illinois and Nebraska. Nebraska’s gas was the most expensive. Colorado was chalked full of padiddles. Weez is quite the padiddle¬†contender, but in the end, I reigned supreme. 36-35, baby.

This was me for 16 hours yesterday…

Fortunately, Weez and I split up the driving so it wasn’t so bad. But it was really nice when we finally pulled into my apartment complex (until we had to brave the cold to unload the car).

I’m still crazy tired so I didn’t run this morning, but I’ll be getting back into the swing of things running-wise tomorrow. Then the masters swim class starts on Monday! I’m really excited!

Hurray for getting active again!

Sounds like quite the road trip! Haha us Illinoisans go at least 15-20 over the limit at all times. Guilty as charged.
