Happy New Year!

Can you believe it’s 2011?! It’s weird to think just ten years ago everyone was freaking out about computers crashing on Y2K… makes me wonder what it’ll be like in ten year from today. Flying cars? Talking, living robots? Vacationing to different planets? Big shinny machines that transport humans across the world in a matter of hours? Oh wait, we already have that.

I hope you had a great New Years Eve, whether it be with family or friends. I rung in the New Year with style. A group of my college friends and I reunited, and spent 48 hours reminiscing the good ol’ days. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long, long time. I miss those guys, it makes me really appreciate the experience I had in college. I have some quality friends :)

The new year means a lot of wonderful things, but on the running front it means time to get my Boston marathon training going in full-force. I took last week off because of my knee, but plan on getting back into it this week for realsies. I ran 4.25 miles yesterday and 3.75 this morning (I heart my new GPS watch) with practically no knee pain. As of right now, I have no hard set goals for Boston other than making it there in one piece, injury-free. That’s all I can really ask for at this point. Good health, good health, good health.

The next two days will be a whirlwind as Weez and I drive back to CO together. I’m really looking forward to getting back into the swing of things but it’ll be hard leaving home. It’s been such a great break! I can’t believe it’s over!

How was your holiday season??

I think we are on the same page Boston wise! I am almost two weeks with no running (going insane) and I’m guessing it will be at least one more before I am back. So my boston goal is to get there, period! Good luck with your training.
