Skiing, running, and dining Oh My!

on

Last weekend was perfection. I felt pretty active, which is nice considering how much I’ll be sitting on my butt next week (driving across America to spend the holidays with friends/fam, yay!).

On Saturday, Weez and I went skiing and it was just the perfect half day of skiing. The mountain was relatively uncrowded for a Saturday but the mountain had delicious fluffy powder to carve down. We rocked some blues, got a solid workout from the afternoon of skiing, and drove home happily exhausted from our first day of skiing this season.

On Sunday, I went for a solid 31 minute run. Every run that I can complete with 0 knee pain is a huge victory in my books. Knowing that my knee could handle 31 minutes meant that I could move up to 36 minutes this week (which I did! 36 pain-free minutes in the bag this morning, woot!)

Then on Sunday afternoon, my brother and I met up in Ft. Collins to catch up, walk around downtown, and have dinner. It’s pretty neat that we can both drive 1 hour towards each other and meet up in a town – especially one as cool as Ft. Collins. The sunset that night was incredible.

Thus wraps up my weekend. How was your weekend?

Sigh… is it the 20th yet? I can’t wait for Christmas break!
