Confession: I enjoy aqua jogging


I’m not quite sure what’s wrong with me (SUAR, you probably think I’m nuts), but I’ve actually really been enjoying/looking forward to my aqua jog sesh’s. It’s a nice way to stay active, with 0 impact on the knee, and oddly, I look forward to it more than lap swimming. The thought of swimming down and back, down and back just is not appealing anymore… but I know I gotta find that love again soon… I’ve got 2 triathlons on deck for 2011 :)

I was only able to get 26 minutes in this morning before the masters swim class came in and I had to get out. But I made the most of my time and really got a solid workout out of it. I’m still debating the idea of joining the masters class next semester. What do you think?

Weekend plans are shaping up nicely. I’m going skiing (for the first time this season) tomorrow! Then I’ll be spending the rest of Sat/Sunday finishing up my Christmas shopping/gift making. I decided to get crafty this year, so I’m really looking forward to surprising my family/friends with their gifts :)

    I will say I don’t like it, but I like it more than swimming laps. Maybe it’s because I do it 5x per week and that sucks. Glad it’s working for you!

  2. Have fun skiing!! As for the crafty present ideas, I am jealous!! I always envy those who are creative and come up with great presents, your family will love them!

    Hats off to you if you can enjoy it! I find it mentally brutal, but it is the best equivalent to running, so you are definitely getting benefit. Good job!

    Really you like it??? I did it for 3 1/2 hours once to simulate a long run. I HATED aqua jogging…

    glad that you’re enjoying your rehabilitation! it would suck if you hated it… i’m not a gym member otherwise i would give it a go…
