Today marks the 1 year anniversary of Just Run With It! I started this baby a year ago because I wanted a tangible place to keep track of my 24 Before 24s, to connect and be inspired by fellow distance athletes, and to share pictures/stories with my family. And what a fun year it’s been!
I don’t wear it on my sleeve in real life, but blogging has really become such a special part of my day. It’s comforting having my own little cyber diary to write about my trials and tribulations in running/photography/life, and it’s exciting getting to know so many really cool people throughout the process. And I’ve met so many of you cool folks.
I’ve jabbered a lot in the past 365 days… I’ve had a lot of great memories: Grad school successes, BQing at Cleveland, being proud, exploring my love for photography, and personal changes. But you’ve heard me out through the rough patches, seemingly endless knee injuries, a cortisone shot, and how awful I am at staying hydrated.
I wouldn’t change this blogging experience for nothin’. I love what this process has done for my sense of creativity and network of running friends, and it’s given me an excuse to appreciate alone time whenever I sit down to write.
So happy birthday, Just Run With It. Thanks for everything you’ve given me :) And thanks for stopping by friends, I love when you comment – I read each and every one of them. They brighten my day and put a smile on my face.
Now where’s the cake?!
