New York Part 2: Cara’s Wedding!

on

Cara’s gorgeous wedding was held at West Point. My sister and b.i.l. went to West Point and got married there as well, so it was really neat to go back and see the campus. Cara looked absolutely gorgeous and their wedding was just perfect.

There were 4 of us Boulder friends at the wedding, and I have no idea how how we never got a picture with the bride and groom!

The reception was held at a beautiful mansion home with an outdoor garden. Wine was flowing, the food was divine, and they played the most fun dance music. Cara and Jon know how to throw a great party!

Cara and Jon cut their wedding cake with Jon’s sword and the wedding cake topper? Alien kissing Predator (It’s the movie they saw on their first date!) Awesome and totally original.

The military men surrounded Cara at one point and started serenading her with “You’ve lost that lovin’ feeling”, the father daughter dance was to “That’s Amore!” (sung by the crowd), and everyone danced the night away.

The next morning, Cara’s family had everyone over for a brunch at their home. It was the perfect way to give our hugs and kisses goodbye. I just had the best time, the whole weekend was amazing.

Now can another friend get married soon? Weddings are way too much fun :)
