Yesterday was a very long, long day. But in such a good way. I woke up at 5:30am and didn’t go to bed till midnight, but I got so much accomplished!
I aqua jogged and lifted weights in the morning before work. Then I was off to Ft. Collins for the rest of the day (literally from 11am till 10pm). My undergrad research assistant (J-Town, as I’ve fondly nicknamed him) and I are collaborating with another research group at CSU, so we drove up there to work with a couple fancy instruments I’ve never used before (this one badboy we used cost 1 million dollars! No pressure to not break it or anything…).
The guys up at CSU are brilliant and a lot of fun to work with. We’ll be going back up there next week to test more samples, so I look forward to that. I could nerd-out hard core right now, but suffice it to say that we got some really fantastic results and I am pumped to tell my boss. I’ve been busting hump lately, so it’s really refreshing to get solid results. Just another step closer to publishing!
The rest of the week is pretty full with meetings, research, my sports med doc appointment (to discuss my knee’s MRI results), and what I’m most looking forward to: my first Creative Digital Photography class! My friend Sarah and I signed up for a photog class and it starts on Thursday evening. I’ve always wanted to take a photog class, so this should be fantastic.
How is it only Tuesday?! I’m exhausted already :)
