Last Friday evening, as the sun was setting, something truly magical happened. As the sun was setting behind the Flatirons, sun rays sliced their way through the clouds creating the most magnificent beams of light. It was one of those kinds of sunrises/sunsets that don’t happen often, but will always and forever remind me of the morning my grandfather passed away. One of these exact sunrises happened that morning, as we silently and slowly left the hospital, walking towards our cars. Everyone stopped, in awe, and we stood there in the parking lot, smiling with tears streaming down our faces as grandpa showed off his new crown.
Thanks for stopping bye, Grandpa :) I love you. And I miss you. Every single day.
What a sweet post. I miss all my grandparents very much…
So sweet.
That’s it, I’m moving to Colorado. It’s so beautiful!
Erin, Those pictures are so beautiful, so reminiscent of that morning four and a half years ago. Grandpa would be so proud of you.
Love, Your Grandmother
