Last night, during our Thursday Girls Night, my girlfriends and I enjoyed watching Project Runway. But you can tell we’ve got Orals on our minds, because during every commercial break, one of us was explaining one chemical concept to each other, or we were deriving rate laws on the mirrors in our TV room. By the end of the show, all of the large mirrors that line our walls were covered in writing (we used dry-erase markers, of course).
Then we talked about what we should wear during our orals… something comfy, professional, but most importantly a top that won’t show sweat! (cause good lord we all know I’m gonna be a hot mess). I think I finally have my outfit planned out. A black pencil skirt and a black/white/redish patterned blouse. And black flats (I can barely walk in heels as is, much less when I’m nervous and standing in front of a chalk board talking about chemistry).
This morning, my roomie and I went for a nice 4.5 mile run this morning. The sky is blue, the sun is shinning, the weather is gorgeous. We talked about funny things and laughed, but we also talked about orals and our nerves. The run felt good, almost like we were shaking off some of our jitters.
My orals are on Thursday (the 15th). LJ’s are today. At 3pm.
She’s been studying so hard and she’s just so darn smart. I’m so proud of her and I can’t wait to hug the crap out of her (and see how relieved she’ll be!) when she’s all done this afternoon.
Good luck today, LJ! :) You’ll dominate!
